Minimum Qualifications In order to be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Candidates must be able to type at the rate of 30 words per minute, with at least 96% accuracy. Unless waived in accordance with Civil Service procedures, a typing performance test will be administered prior to appointment.
If a viable eligible list does not exist, a provisional appointment may be made in accordance with Civil Service Law. Candidates who accept a provisional position must take the next competitive examination and be reachable on the resultant eligible list in order to be considered for permanent appointment to the position.
There are no minimum education or experience requirements for this exam. The provisional candidate must pass the typing performance test prior to appointment.
Duties Description The incumbent of this position will perform duties consistent with the standard for this title in the Transportation Maintenance Residency Office. As such, the selected candidate maintain records, documents, and information; and produce correspondence, reports, charts, etc. Incumbents must be able to read, understand, and apply procedures, rules and regulations, and laws.

The preferred candidate will possess excelled written and oral communication skills as well as proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
